Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using innerquests.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
Service Description
innerquests.app (the "Service") provides AI-powered philosophical tools, available through our website at innerquests.app and our iOS mobile application ("innerQuests for iOS"). The Service consists of:
- Philosophy Compass — Free quiz — a set of philosophical questions you can take at no cost. Your answers are stored temporarily in your browser session and sent to our server for rules-based scoring to determine your philosophical type. No AI is used at this stage and your answers are not stored on our servers after your results are returned.
- Philosophy Compass — Paid AI analysis — an in-depth AI interview and a comprehensive philosophical profile report (downloadable as PDF), including identification of philosophical traditions you align with and personalized book recommendations. This is a one-time purchase processed through Paddle on the web.
- innerQuests — Subscription platform — an AI-powered life companion that provides structured check-ins, personalized AI insights based on your philosophical worldview, goal tracking, and longitudinal pattern analysis. Requires account creation and a paid subscription, available on the web and through the iOS app.
Who Sells What
Web purchases (Paddle)
Paid purchases made through our website are sold by Paddle.com Market Limited (for customers outside the USA) or Paddle.com Inc. (for US customers), acting as our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for all web transactions. This means:
- Your purchase agreement for payment purposes is with Paddle, not with Bigawerk
- Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, VAT, refunds, and consumer sales compliance
- Paddle's terms and policies apply to the purchase transaction: Paddle Terms
iOS app purchases (Apple)
Subscriptions purchased through the iOS app are sold by Apple Inc. through the App Store, acting as the seller of record. Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions govern these transactions. This means:
- Your purchase agreement for payment purposes is with Apple, not with Bigawerk
- Apple handles payment, billing, invoicing, taxes, and refunds for App Store purchases
- We do not receive your Apple ID, payment method, or billing details
- Apple's terms apply to the purchase transaction: Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions
Bigawerk provides the service itself — the quiz, AI analysis, check-ins, insights, and report delivery. These Terms of Service govern your use of the service and the content we provide, regardless of which platform you use.
Pricing
Philosophy Compass (one-time)
The AI analysis is a one-time purchase. The price is displayed in your local currency at checkout. Pricing may vary by region and is always shown before you confirm payment.
innerQuests (subscription)
innerQuests is an auto-renewing subscription. The following plans are offered:
- Monthly — billed every month at the price displayed at checkout (currently $9/month on the web).
- Annual (iOS app only) — billed once every 12 months at a discounted equivalent monthly rate, displayed at checkout.
On iOS, prices are set in your local currency by Apple according to Apple's price tiers and may differ from web prices. The exact price, billing period, and renewal date are always shown before you confirm payment, and on the iOS App Store subscription page.
innerQuests Subscription Terms
Free Trial
New subscribers receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all innerQuests features. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You will not be charged during the trial period.
Recurring Billing
After the trial period (or immediately if no trial is offered), you will be billed at the subscription price for your chosen plan (monthly or, on iOS, annual). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. The renewal date and next payment amount are visible in your account settings and, for iOS purchases, in your Apple ID subscription settings.
iOS App Subscriptions (Apple In-App Purchase)
If you subscribe through our iOS app, your subscription is processed by Apple as an auto-renewable in-app purchase. The following terms apply in addition to (and prevail over, where conflicting) the general subscription terms above:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the selected plan.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your device Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions after purchase.
- If a free trial or introductory offer is provided, any unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that plan, where applicable.
- You can restore eligible prior purchases via the Restore Purchases option in the app.
Apple's standard subscription terms (Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions) apply to all App Store in-app purchases: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Web (Paddle): cancel from your account settings or via the link in your purchase confirmation email.
- iOS app (Apple): cancel from Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. We cannot cancel an Apple-billed subscription on your behalf.
Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to innerQuests until the end of your current billing period.
- No further charges will be made after cancellation.
- Your data remains in your account. You can resubscribe at any time to regain access.
- If you wish to permanently delete your data, you can delete your account separately.
Account Deletion
You may delete your innerQuests account at any time:
- In the iOS app: Settings → Delete account.
- By email: contact us at hello@bigawerk.com.
Account deletion permanently removes all your personal data (profile, check-in history, insights, goals) within 30 days. This action is irreversible. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription billed by Apple — you should also cancel through your Apple ID Subscriptions to stop renewals.
Refunds
Web purchases (Paddle)
Since Paddle is the seller of record for web purchases, refund requests are handled by Paddle in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. You can request a refund by:
- Contacting Paddle directly through their support
- Contacting us at hello@bigawerk.com and we will facilitate the process with Paddle
iOS App Store purchases (Apple)
For subscriptions purchased through the iOS App Store, refunds are handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policies. We are not able to issue refunds for Apple-billed purchases. To request a refund, please use Apple's "Report a Problem" page: https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you experience any technical issues that prevent you from receiving your results or accessing your innerQuests subscription, please contact us at hello@bigawerk.com and we will make it right.
Account Terms
To use innerQuests, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your password secure and not share your account credentials with others.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Data & Results Availability
Philosophy Compass
Your analysis results are available for 7 days after purchase, giving you time to review and download your PDF report. After this period, results are automatically deleted for your privacy. We recommend downloading your PDF report promptly.
innerQuests
Your innerQuests data (profile, check-ins, insights, goals) is available for as long as your account is active. If your subscription expires, your data is preserved but access to the platform is restricted until you resubscribe. You can request an export of your data at any time by contacting us.
Nature of Results & Insights
Our AI analysis and insights provide perspectives on your philosophical thinking and personal growth. This applies to both Philosophy Compass results and innerQuests weekly insights, pattern analysis, and recommendations. Please note:
- All results and insights are for self-reflection and educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional psychological, psychiatric, or philosophical counseling.
- Results should not be used for academic assessment, evaluation, hiring decisions, or any form of profiling of third parties.
- AI-generated insights reflect patterns in your data and may not capture the full complexity of your experience.
- innerQuests is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are in crisis, please contact a mental health professional or crisis helpline.
- Individual interpretations and perspectives may vary.
Technical Requirements
To use the Service, you need:
- Web: a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge, recent versions)
- iOS app: an iPhone or iPad running a supported iOS version (see the App Store listing for current minimum requirements)
- An internet connection
- A PDF reader to view and save your downloaded report
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g. page views, referrer, browser type, country). Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not store personal data, and does not track you across sites or devices. No consent banner is required. Intellectual Property
Your personalized results belong to you. You may use, share, or reproduce your analysis report for personal purposes.
The quiz questions, methodology, AI prompts, website design, and all other materials on innerquests.app are the proprietary intellectual property of Bigawerk sp. z o.o. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or commercialize our quiz format, system, or methodology.
The innerquests.app name and branding are proprietary to Bigawerk sp. z o.o.
Affiliate Disclosures
We participate in affiliate programs with Amazon and Bookshop.org. When you click book recommendation links, you are redirected to their websites where standard terms apply.
- Amazon: We earn a small commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.
- Bookshop.org: We earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you, and a portion of every sale supports independent bookstores.
Affiliate commissions help us keep innerquests.app running. Our book recommendations are made solely on the basis of philosophical relevance to your results. Affiliate relationships do not influence which books are recommended.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer our AI analysis system, prompts, or methodology
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the service
- Share your access credentials or purchased results access links with others for commercial purposes
- Use the service for any illegal purposes
- Attempt to access other users' results
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service or its outputs
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bigawerk's total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
This limitation does not apply to: liability for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence, liability for personal injury, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to provide high-quality, thoughtful analysis, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the results will meet your specific expectations. Book availability on Amazon and Bookshop.org may vary by region and over time.
Online Dispute Resolution
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform to resolve disputes: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email for ODR purposes is: hello@bigawerk.com.
Changes to Service or Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We may also update these terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you should stop using the service.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts. If you are a consumer in the EEA, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
